Certified Orthotist or Certified Prosthetist/Orthotist (or Board Eligible)
Location:
This job is located at our headquarters in Yakima, WA. We have a full lab where our two full-time technicians fabricate orthotic and prosthetic devices.
Duties:
- Assess patients' needs and develop individualized prosthetic treatment plans
- Take measurements and create molds for custom prosthetic devices
- Fit, adjust, and align prosthetic devices to ensure proper function and comfort
- Provide education and instruction to patients on the use and care of their prosthetic devices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in prosthetic technology and techniques
Experience:
- ABC Certified Orthotist or Orthotist/Prosthetist (or Board-Eligible)
- Experience working with a diverse patient population
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Proficient in conducting physical examinations related to prosthetic care
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control protocols
Skills:
- Excellent patient care skills, with a focus on providing compassionate and personalized service
- Ability to assess patients' needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Strong attention to detail and ability to create precise molds for custom prosthetic devices
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients on prosthetic use and care
